The ESL endorsement consists of 9 credit hours in the following coursework:

 

TESL 700 Principles of Teaching English as a Second Language Fall only
TESL 710 Strategies for Teaching English as a Second Language Spring only
EDFN 720 Multicultural Issues in Education and Counseling Fall, Spring, or Summer

 

To be eligible for the ELL "add-on", students must hold a current teaching license either in PreK-3, K-6, 7-12, or SPED-Modified K-12, and pass the 20360-English as a 2nd Language Praxis exam.
