Presently, there are three operational lasers which are stored in EPS Building, room 226.  These lasers have been labeled with their wavelength and power and are registered with the Safety Officer.  These lasers are used for demonstrations and are moved to the location of the designated demonstration as needed.  The demonstrations are conducted by faculty members.  Students do not have access to the lasers.  All lasers are class II and have a rated output of less than one milliwatt.  Demonstrations are managed so that there is no direct eye exposure to the audience; therefore, no eye protection is required because of the low power.
