Janet Adair (English, 2017) is a Writing Tutor in the Academic Success Center at Dyersburg State Community College.
Spencer Atkins (English, 2017) published an article in the Winter 2017 edition of Mallorn, the Journal of the Tolkien Society, titled "On Tolkien's Presentation of Distributism in the Shire."
Tamara Beard (English, 2017) runs her own business called Wrapped Up Writing (wrappedupwriting.weebly.com), providing services in editing, proofreading, and content writing. She also works part-time at the Springfield, TN Public Library.
Paige (Mason) Busby (English with a Japanese Minor, 2013) started the Ph.D. program in English at the Ohio State University in Fall 2017. She completed her M.A. in English at Auburn University in Spring 2017.
Lauren Delaney (English and Spanish, 2016) is teaching English as a second language in South Korea.
Tyler Fitzgerald (Spanish with a Theatre Minor, 2013) completed his M.A. in Hispanic Literatures at Michigan State University in 2015 and a second M.A. in Urban Education at Cardinal Stritch University in 2017. He is a bilingual teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools.
Jonathan Lucas French (English, 2014) is working on his M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Murray State University.
Cody Jarman (English and Theatre, 2015) received a Fulbright Scholarship in 2016 and used it to complete an M.A. in Irish Writing and Film at University College Cork in Cork. He is now enrolled in the Ph.D. program in English at The University of Texas at Austin, where he lives with his wife and fellow UTM English major Madilyn Peay Jarman. Lucia Martinez (Spanish, 2016) teaches Spanish at Dyer County High School.
Stephen Outten (English, 2006) is a prolific web and copywriter who, among other accomplishments, "developed, wrote, launched, and marketed 4 industry-leading web sites" according to his site https://stephenoutten.com/. He writes, "I leverage a liberal arts background to uncover new ways of walking well-trodden roads in the journey to reach decision makers and consumers.
Stacey Richardson (English, 2011) works at Savant Learning Systems as a Content Development Project Manager and is enrolled in the Masters in Professional Writing program through Chatham University.
Krista Shaw (English, 2016) is working on an M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Reinhardt University.
Chris Swann-Gunlefinger (English, 2011) started the Masters in Strategic Communication Program at UTM in Fall 2017. He began employment at Discovery Park of America in 2011 and has been the Assistant Education Director since 2013.
Marcus Wakefield (Japanese Minor and Economics Major, 2015) works for AEON English conversation school in Japan.
Tara Kay White (French Minor and International Studies Major, 2016) manages the Child Advocacy Center in Jackson, TN. She is also a Certified Birth Doula and owns her own business. She plans to become a Certified Professional Midwife with the ultimate goal of creating a NGO that trains midwives in the developing nations of West Africa.
Janine Winfree (English and History, 2014) completed her M.S. in Library and Information science at UT Knoxville in 2016. She works as a Learning Resource Center Assistant at Strayer University, runs her own audiovisual preservation business, and volunteers as an archivist at the Knoxville Museum of Art.
