Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)is a federal law that is designed to eliminate discrimination against individuals with physical and mental disabilities.  In accordance with the ADA, the University is committed to providing equal access for its employees with disabilities.  If you are an otherwise qualified individual with a documented disability, you may be entitled to a reasonable accommodation to assist you in performing the essential functions of your position.

If you wish to seek an accommodation, you must submit a request to the Office of Human Resources, 112 Administration Building, (731-881-7845).  Medical certification may be required to verify the requested accommodation.

Faculty members are required to complete the ADA test that is available through Blackboard.  To be enrolled in the ADA course in Blackboard, please contact the ITC at 731-881-7877.
