Trisha Capansky Assistant Professor BA in Communication, East Carolina University Dr. Capansky’s fields of teaching are technical communication, business writing, and English composition. Her areas of research focus on genre-audience relationships, colonial discourse, and media studies, with primary interests in how media and communication systems shape human affairs. Dr. Capansky is also actively involved in civic engagement. As a professional urban planner, she works with community leaders on issues related to zoning, ordinance writing, and land use development.
