The Availability Factor Computation Forms for The University of Tennessee at Martin consist of a separate analysis for each Equal Employment Opportunity category. Every job title included in the category analysis available on the Job Title page for the category and includes the EEO code, title code, and title description.
National, State, and Weakley County area data for completion of factors 1 through 5 for all categories were obtained from the 1990 U.S. Census of Population EEO File prepared by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census; Tennessee 1990 Census of Population EEO File; Weakley County, Tennessee, 1990 Census (EEO File); and the Tennessee Data for Affirmative Action Plans, 2001 Supplement . For executive/administrative/managerial, faculty, and professional EEO categories, Tennessee data were used for factors 1 through 4 and national data for factor 5. The University's Work Force Analysis, October 2005, was used to complete both factors 6 and 8 of all reported categories.
The sources used to gather data for the availability farcot compuation for EEO-1 through EEO-3 for factor 7 are as follows:
- U.S. Department of Education National Center for Education Statistics Survey Report (IPEDS), Data on Doctoral Degrees, "Completion" Survey 1992-98;
- National Science Foundation/Division of Science Resources Studies, Survey of Earned Doctorates, 1990-99;
For factor 7 for all other reported categories (EEO-4 through EEO-7), the following sources were used:
1. Tennessee Technology Center at Newbern, 1999;
2. Tennessee Technology Center at Paris, 1999; and,
3. Donaldson Police Academy, 2000.
Value weights were assigned by giving consideration to possible promotion from within the University and to recruitment areas for positions at The University of Tennessee at Martin.
