The Office of Human Resources for the University of Tennessee at Martin has ongoing contact with the Tennessee Department of Employment Security in Dresden; Community Developmental Services in Martin; West Tennessee Business College and Jackson State Community College in Jackson, Tennessee; Draughn Business College in Paducah, Kentucky; and Dyersburg State Community College in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

University employees (faculty and staff, African American and Caucasian, and male and female) are totally involved in providing leadership to the city of Martin.  Specifically, several administrators are on the Weakley County Board of Education, and several administrators and other staff are County Commissioners.
