Utilization Analysis Information (Personnel Activity Analysis for Goals)

It should be noted that the OFCCP instructions for preparing utilization analysis were strictly adhered to for lines 1 through 15.

The utilization analysis forms by EEO category, indicate that for certain 02 job groups the number of anticipated hirings for the time period of October 1, 2006, to September 30, 2007, varied from 0 to an estimated number based on current faculty searches for certain departments.  It should also be noted that the Equity and Diversity Officer examined the candidate pool for all 02, Faculty positions for the 2007-2008 academic school year; 39 faculty positions were filled August 30, 2007.  Again, the total number of anticipated hiring during the period (October 1, 2006, to September 30, 2007) and the number(s) listed for both gender and race are based on filled positions for the period indicated.

Although the desired numerical net changes of females/minorities ranged from 0 to an estimated number when rounded to the nearest whole number (using suggested OFCCP calculations for utilization analysis Line 8-1.), UTM is committed to correcting underutilization for EEO-6, 01 for women, minorities and African Americans; 02 for women, minorities, and African Americans; for the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, underutilization of women only; for the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, underutilization of minorities and African Americans only; for the College of Engineering, underutilization of minorities only; for the College of Business and Public Affairs, underutilization of women and minorities; 03, Other Professionals for women; 04, Clerks (grades 02 and up) for minorities and African Americans; 05, Technical/Paraprofessional for women, minorities, and African Americans; and 06, Skilled Crafts (Non-supervisors for women).  Every effort will continue to be made to fill positions as they turn over with highly qualified female and minority employees consistent with the goals listed in Section 11.
