Present:  Margrethe Ahlschwede, Bill Austin, Kay Durden, James Fieser, Melba Figgins, Stephanie Kolitsch, Earlene Moore, Dorotha Norton, Robert Self, Stan Sieber, Douglas Sterrett, Chris Chalokwu.

1. The Personnel Policies Committee discussed changes made to last year's tenure document by the Board of Trustees.  The Committee was asked to fill in a gap in the Cumulative Review section of the document.

2.  The Committee was asked to look at changes made to the Faculty Handbook reflecting changes in the administrative structure and involving renumbering the sections following the tenure section.  After close scrutiny, the Committee noticed other proposed changes in the Faculty Handbook.  The following motion was passed by the Committee:
 

The Personnel Policies Committee should be provided with a list of changes to the current Faculty Handbook to review and to present to the Faculty Senate prior to the printing of the document.

The Committee is currently awaiting a list of these changes.

3.  Dr. Stephanie Kolitsch presented to the Committee a list of other topics that may come before the Committee this year.  These topics include:
· a discussion of committee voting by e-mail;
· the Summer School Task Force, whose findings may require changes to the Faculty Handbook;
· the possible reorganization of the Schools on campus, which in turn would require changes to the Faculty Handbook.

4.  The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
