Four-Year Course Sequence Plan


The Gerontology concentration offers course work in:

  • adult development
  • family relationships
  • normative aging, health
  • death, dying, and bereavement
  • quality in care and programing for seniors
  • education and resources for seniors and caregivers
  • societal issues and public policy.

Students participate in coursework, activities, observations, and service learning in community programs. This is an excellent undergraduate foundation for master's degree programs in gerontology, counseling, human development, social work, child development and family relationships.

The Gerontology concentration provides students with flexibility in choices of course work to meet individual career goals. Faculty members provide personal and professional advisement for each student and supervise off-campus placements in career-related settings to facilitate each student's career goals.
