All regular full-time employees are required, as a condition of employment, to participate in one of the available retirement plans. Enrollment is optional for regular part-time employees. Certain term employees are eligible to enroll upon completion of six months of continuous active service. |

| TCRS (Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System) All regular employees of the University of Tennessee are eligible to enroll in TCRS.
Non-exempt employees are eligible to enroll in TCRS only.
ORP (Optional Retirement Program ) • TIAA/CREF Regular employees who are classified as exempt staff, faculty, or other academic may enroll in either the TCRS plan or the Optional Retirement Program (ORP).
