Lender List

The University of Tennessee at Martin provides a lenders list to student borrowers to assist them in the lender selection process. The school does not benefit in any way from your choice in a lender. The lender list is simply a tool to assist you in the selection process. Lenders are selected based on the following:

 

  • Low or $0 default/origination fees. Fee is sometimes paid or partially paid by the lender, the guarantor, or both.
  • Back end borrower benefits (benefits that begin once you are in repayment) that assist in the reduction of the loan principle balance, interest rate, and provide rebates.
  • Quality customer service such as accessibility to information and personal assistance from the lender to the students while they are in school and repayment.

 

You are encouraged to review the benefits each lender provides and to select a lender that best fits your needs. We strongly encourage you to view each lenders website for the most up-to-date information and additional information about their benefits. It is very important to know what benefits you can receive before you select a lender. You have the right and ability to use any lender, even if the lender is not listed on our lender list. Lender benefits are subject to change. If you choose a lender not listed below, please contact the Financial Aid Office for processing, or you may print and complete the Stafford Loan Request form by clicking here and return it to the Financial Aid Office.
