SCHOLARSHIPS & AUDITIONS
The first step to becoming a student in the Department of Music is to apply for admission to UT Martin. You can learn more about this process by visiting the website of the UT Martin Office of Admissions.
AUDITIONS
Students who wish to be music majors must audition before being admitted into their chosen programs. To find out what to play at the audition, please contact the Department of Music.
Students may audition on one of the scheduled audition days throughout the semester, or they may contact the Department of Music to make an appointment.
Audition dates are listed on the Calendar page link from the home page. You may additionally contact the appropriate studio professor for more Information.
Percussion Auditions should be scheduled with Dr. Julie Hill directly at jhill@utm.edu. They are generally not scheduled on the "official" audition dates.
SCHOLARSHIPS
There are several different types of scholarships available for students attending UT Martin. To learn more about the Tennessee Lottery Scholarship, student loans, and university-level academic scholarships, check out the website of the UT Martin Office of Financial Aid.
In addition to the above-mentioned sources of financial aid, the Department of Music has scholarship money available to both music-majors and some non-majors who wish to participate in one of our ensembles such as Marching Band or New Pacer Singers. Students who wish to apply for these scholarships must audition (see information above).
