Every other May, you can go on a 10-day group trip to France in order to perfect your language skills and learn more about the culture of two of France’s most fascinating cities. For the first 6 nights, you will be in Saint Malo, sharing a room with a fellow student and living with a French family, who will feed you three meals a day. Saint Malo, located in the region of Brittany, became famous in the 17th century thanks to its many native pirates and privateers of international renown. Being by the sea, you will be able to experience first-hand the power of the fastest tides in Europe, walk around a walled city, visit the house of a corsair and much more. While in Saint Malo, you will also go on numerous excursions with your professor: the Mont Saint Michel, the medieval city of Dinan and the resort city of Dinard are in our itinerary. Brittany is also known for its wonderful cuisine: sweet and salted crepes, fresh oysters and clams, among other local delicacies can be found everywhere. After your language immersion in Saint Malo, you will feel confident to tackle Paris and all it has to offer. For three days, you will be seeing so many monuments, neighborhoods and cultural landmarks that, by the end of your trip, you will be in forever love with the City of Lights. To be able to join our group, you must have, at least, the equivalent of one semester one French. Upon completion of trip and assignments, you will receive 3 credits.
