News Notes

 

GRE Revised General Test

  • The GRE General test has been revised and will replace the current GRE General exam effective August 1, 2011.
  • If you need GRE General scores prior to November 2011, you must take the current test before August 2011.
  • Candidates who test between August 1 and September 30, 2011 will have their scores sent by mid-November.
  • Special savings of 50% when candidates take the GRE revised General Test between August 1 and September 30, 2011. For candidates who take the GRE revised General Test during the special discount period, their scores will be sent by mid-November.
  • Registration for the Revised GRE General exam begins March 15, 2011.
  • To schedule the GRE exam, contact the UT Martin Testing Center at 731-881-7727 or http://www.utm.edu/departments/success/.

Application Deadline

Completed application files (including all documentation required for the admission category and graduate program requested) are due in the Graduate Studies Office 28 days prior to the first day of the semester for which admission is requested. Completed application files submitted by the deadline will be guaranteed a decision on admissibility before the term begins.

 

The deadline for Maymester 2011 is April 18, 2011.

The deadline for Summer 2011 is May 9, 2011.

The deadline for Fall 2011 is July 25, 2011.

The deadline for Spring 2012 is December 15, 2011.

The deadline for Maymester 2012 is April 16, 2012.

The deadline for Summer 2012 is May 7, 2012.

 

Eligibility for Financial Aid

Students must have degree-seeking admission and enroll in six (6) hours to be eligible for financial aid. Non-degree students are not eligible for financial aid. Contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for more information.

 

No Summer Commencement Ceremony

Degrees will be awarded in summer but there will be no commencement ceremony. Students who complete degree requirements in Summer term can participate in the December ceremony.

 

Transcript Fee

Effective July 1, 2009, there will be a $5 charge for each UT Martin transcript. Applicants for graduate admission will be responsible for contacting Academic Records to request their UT Martin transcript be sent to the Graduate Studies Office.
