Caroline Groves received numerous accolades during her career, which included receiving a pair of prestigious honors given to a student-athlete. She was named Ohio Valley Conference Female Athlete of the Year and OVC Tennis Player of the Year in her senior year. She was later named Tennessee NCAA Woman of the Year which honors student-athletes who have excelled in academics, athletics, and community leadership.
She played the No. 1 position throughout her career. She helped lead UT Martin to its first two OVC championships. As a freshman in the university’s final year of competition in NCAA Division II, she was named National Rookie of the Year. She played for the NCAA title in doubles, earning All-American honors.
Groves was one of six athletes in the OVC to win the Scholar Athlete of the Year award in her senior year. She was a two-time OVC Medal of Honor Award winner.
