Esther Hubbard was on the first UT Martin women’s basketball team in 1969. She helped lead the team to an 8-2 won-loss record. In her three-year, the team posted a 44-13 record. During the 1970-71 season, Hubbard helped the then Lady Pacers to a first-place finish in the Tennessee College Women’s Sports Federation (TCWSF) District Tournament. She also helped the Lady Pacers win the TCWSF state tournament in the 1971-72 season and the AIAW Region II tournament. Hubbard participated in the first Division of Girls and Women’s Sports National Tournament in Normal, Ill. She scored 301 career points as a Lady Pacer.
