On Friday, July 11th as many as fifty Japanese who have been associated with the University of Tennessee attended a reception held by Ambassador Howard Baker, a former U.S. Senator from Tennessee, at the U.S. embassy residence in Tokyo, Japan. The majority of the people had been to U.T.M. as intensive English students, graduates of UTM's regular curriculum, exchange professors, or administrators of UTM's sister colleges and universities in Japan.
