The University of Tennessee at Martin is one of four campuses of this major American state university. The Intensive English Program is administered by the University of Tennessee at Martin; therefore all academically qualified students admitted to the Intensive English Program are automatically accepted in University Undergraduate Programs after achieving a score of 500/61 on the (paper-based/ibt) TOEFL or successfully completing the highest level of TIEP. A TOEFL score of 525/71 is required for admission in University Graduate Programs.
The University of Tennessee at Martin Intensive English Program is a member of the University Consortia of Intensive English Language Programs which is comprised of some of the best language programs in the U.S. It is also a member of the National Association for Foreign Student Affairs, the American Association of Intensive English Programs, and the Institute for International Education.
The university conducts language and cultural training programs overseas for the US government and has continuing exchange programs and joint research projects with universities in Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and Korea.
