TRANSPORTATION
New students will be provided free transportation from the Memphis International Airport to UT Martin ONLY on the days specified. If available, student drivers may be able to provide transportation for an additional fee. Students must send arrival information including exact day and hour or arrival, airline and flight number. See Airport Pickup Service/Accommodations.
ORIENTATION
New students will be given a two-day orientation program consisting of English placement testing, visits to a bank and shopping center, discussions on U.S. Immigration regulations, University and Tennessee Intensive English Program policies, and cultural adjustment. Students will also be given assistance with filling out health forms, insurance forms, applications for ITIN numbers, registration and payment of fees, and having student identification cards made. A tour of the campus will also be included.
TOEFL EXAMINATION
The TOEFL administered by the Tennessee Intensive English Program is an "Institutional" TOEFL. Tests are hand scored by TIEP staff before being sent off to Educational Testing Service for machine scoring. This enables students, on the same day of the test, to know if they have the scores necessary for admission to the University.
There are also official testing facilities on campus for the iBT, The Internet-Based TOEFL, The GRE, and many others.

This includes the cost of TUITION (including UTM FACILITIES FEE), HOUSING, HEALTH INSURANCE, FOOD, BOOKS, & OTHER PERSONAL EXPENSES
Your total cost will depend on how and where you live, what you eat and what you do after class. Here is an estimate:
Four Weeks (one-half term) of Intensive English: $2,600 to $3,100
Eight Weeks (one full term) of Intensive English: $4,000 to $4,400
Two Terms (one semester) of Intensive English: $8,200 to $10,000
