| Blackboard Course Type Descriptions |
Semester |
| Course will be used only one semester. At the end of the semester you can request course to be copied for next semester or when course is offered again. You should choose "Semester" as course type if there is a possibility students may receive an incomplete and need access to that semester Blackboard course. |

| Students with an incomplete can access Blackboard course as it was the semester they took course |
- Must fill out a course copy request if you would like to use the same course material or a new course request to start with a blank course

| Multiple Sections |
| One Blackboard course is used for multiple sections of the same course. Course will be used only one semester. At the end of the semester you can request course to be copied for next semester or when course is offered again. |

- Students are alphabetized in Online Gradebook and NOT separated into sections
- Course material that is different for each course section must be signified to students
- Must fill out a course copy request if you would like to use the same course material

| Same Blackboard course is used semester after semester. Multiple sections of the same course can be enrolled in this course type if desired. |
