ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
The Instructional Technology Center (formerly the Faculty Multimedia Center) was founded by a gift from Harry and
Rosemary Crisp with the express desire of supporting UT Martin faculty with incorporating instructional technology into
teaching. To that end, here is the acceptable use policy for the ITC facilities.
FACULTY USE:
All faculty, including adjunct, part-time, and temporary, are encouraged to use the facilities of the ITC, during the hours
from 8am-noon and 1pm-5pm Monday through Friday. Graduate Assistants, who are helping with faculty projects, may
also use the facilities during this time. A full-time ITC staff member is available to provide assistance and one-on-one
instruction throughout the entire year, except during Administrative Closings.
FACULTY AFTER HOURS USE:
After hours, a key is available at the library circulation desk to gain access to the ITC lab. When the ITC is closed, each
user of the Center is granted permission only for him or herself and must be a faculty member, including adjunct,
part-time, and temporary. Please sign the guest book in the ITC to help us track how well the room is being used.
STAFF USE:
We are happy to extend to full-time UTM staff permission to use the resources of the ITC, unless such use conflicts with
training classes being held in the lab or the needs of the faculty. Keeping in mind the main focus of the ITC, faculty are
given first priority to resources and assistance. Staff members should also sign the Logbook to let us know which
equipment is being used.
