Canvas for Beginners: Getting Started with Canvas 2 hrs. Outcomes: learn how to navigate the instructor dashboard, calendar, personal settings, and basic course organization as well as create simple Assignments and Quizzes.
Canvas: Creating Assignments & Managing Grades 1 hr. Outcomes: learn how to create and manage Assignments, incorporate anti-plagiarism software and rubrics into Speedgrader, and manage the Gradebook.
Canvas: Overview of the new LMS 1 hr. Outcomes: learn how to navigate the instructor dashboard, calendar, personal settings, and basic course organization.
Canvas: Tests & Quizzes 1 hr. Outcomes: learn how to create a Quiz in Canvas or from a test bank, and the utility of moderating a quiz for individual(s).
Canvas: Conferences 1 hr. Outcomes: learn how to use the Big Blue Button, an integrated conferencing tool available through Canvas for sharing audio, slides, chat, video, and desktop with students in real-time.
Canvas: Smooth Term Transitions 1 hr. Outcomes: learn to download and save student data, manage students with incompletes, update your Canvas dashboard, and copy course content for reuse.
Echo 360: Managing Content 1 hr. Outcomes: learn the differences of the functionalities available in the two Echo platforms-- personal capture and Active Learning Platform—as well as manage your personal library and embed Echo 360 videos in Canvas Modules.
Office 365: Overview for Faculty & Staff 1 hr. Outcomes: learn the basic tools available in Office 365 to faculty, staff, and students; integrations of Office 365 with Canvas; and productivity tools available to users.
Microsoft Forms and Data manipulation with Excel 1 hr. Outcomes: learn how to create/share Microsoft forms and how to interpret the results
Office 365 integration with Canvas 1 hr. Outcomes: learn how to create collaborative assignments using Office 365 in Canvas; how to submit assignments directly to Canvas from Office 365.
Advanced Canvas 1 hr. Advanced Canvas is designed for faculty members who have successfully implemented many of the Canvas tools into their courses. Participants will learn about the Canvas mobile Teacher App, Moderating Quizzes, the new Gradebook, Rubrics, and advanced organizational strategies.
