How do I check a document out/in so that I can make changes or add a new version/page?
Follow the steps below depending on what software you are using.
Web Access:
- Run a query and select the document to view
- On the Document Menu
- Choose “Check Out”
- Enter comments to check out
- Click “OK”
- Check In Documents
- Document must be Checked Out in order to Check In
- Document must be Checked Out in order to Check In
- Click on the Document Menu
- Choose “Check In”
- Type in your comments
- Choose the revision status
- Click “Check In”
Document Manager:
- Check Out Documents
- Right-click on the application
- Choose “New Query”
- Run query based on input data
- Choose document to check out by clicking on it
- Choose “Check Out”
- Enter comments to check out
- Click “OK”
- Check In Documents
- Document must be Checked Out in order to Check In
- Click on the Document Menu
- Choose “Check In”
- Type in your comments
- Choose the revision status
- Click “Check In”
