Students will take language classes to improve their language skills and will also participate in the cultural and sightseeing opportunities in order to have a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and society. This is a women’s junior college, so 2 female students can participate per year. Students are housed in the host’s residence halls and/or home stay with local families may be arranged. This is an official exchange program, so there is no program fee, although students are responsible for their transportation (air tickets, local transportation, etc.). This program usually takes place in June.
Lisa's Study Abroad Experience
"What did a study abroad trip to Japan mean for me? In a word, opportunities. Hiroshima, Japan was the best opportunity for me, because it allowed me to study the language and culture first hand. Traveling to Hiroshima was a paving stone on the path to my future and I would not trade the time I spent in Japan for anything."
