It is time to put what you have been learning to use! On this trip, you will see one of the busiest and the most exciting cities in the world—Tokyo, Japan—and experience Japanese traditions, culture and history through your home-stay in Hirosaki (home of our partner university). You will also have a chance to participate in Japanese language classes and club activities (Shamisen club, Aikido club, etc.) at Hirosaki University, where you will get to meet with local students!

Take advantage of this unique opportunity and expand your world!!

This program is offered every other year and there are scholarships available!

If you would like to know more about this program, please contact Kyoko Hammond, Lecturer of Japanese at kyhammond@utm.edu.

Traveling to Hiroshima was a paving stone on the path to my future and I would not trade the time I spent in Japan for anything."
