This site includes everything you ever wanted to know about history and historical figures, although if you are looking for information on current events you’ll have to go somewhere else. This site is useful for anyone how is researching anything that has to do with history. The site it’s self is very simple to navigate.

2. Who are the sites authors? (person, institution)
The author to this site are not listed nor are their credentials, nor do we know if they are experienced in their field. The institution is the very popular History Channel.


3. What category does the site fit in (what type of information are you getting from that site)?
This is an Electronic Periodical, consisting of events in history, and current program guides.

4. What is its focus: American, non-Western, etc., time-period or general
The focus of this site is world history, to put it simply, if you want to found out what happened on a certain date in history they will tell you.

5. Rate the information contained in the site:
The facts on this site are presented in an accurate and fair manner. The information is documented in several different ways, in an archive form, in timeline form. The information is as current as history is going to get updated daily. There are no criteria requirements listed but one could be led to believe it would have to do with history. This site is by far the best-researched site I have ever seen.

This site gets the highest rating I could give. It’s educational and fun all on the same site. I do believe that this information will be stable through time. The information on this site is updated daily. There are no awards listed for this site.

7. How does this site relate to the course you are currently taking?  How helpful/not helpful is it?  Would you recommend it to other students?
This site is a great tool for anyone taking a history class or just interested in history. I would recommend this site to anyone interested in history.

8. Write a brief narrative summary of the site.  What courses and kinds of research would this site be most useful for?
This site is the all proposes site incorporating history and entertainment. I would use this for any questions I had about history.
