This is the official site of the British Broadcasting Corporation; they give detail about broadcasting schedules, programs, and even the history of the BBC. This site includes everything from links to BBC news programs to movie reviews, and still remains very easy to navigate.

The site does not list the specific author, although one could be lead to think it was a collection of different authors due to the size of the site and the corporation it represents.


3. What category does the site fit in (what type of information are you getting from that site)?
 This site could be considered an electronic periodical because of the vast collection of information that this site covers.

4. What is its focus: American, non-Western, etc., time-period or general
The main focus of this site is the BBC and the programs, it offers as well as a history of the corporation and the direction they are taking, including guidelines, rules and regulations and a mission statement.

5. Rate the information contained in the site:
The facts on this page appeared to be very well researched and presented in an accurate manner. Even with the complexity of the world scene and the ever-changing events in the world the site has managed to stay on top of things. There is no criteria list for information provided on this site, but the information that does appear does seem to be well researched. This site seems to be the foremost authority on politics and current events in Britain.

This site provides a great insight into British culture, politics, and current events, providing a stable resource though time. The site is update on a daily basis. The site does not list any awards it has received, not to say it has not.

7. How does this site relate to the course you are currently taking?  How helpful/not helpful is it?  Would you recommend it to other students?
I think this site is a relevant site for anyone studying Europe or England for that matter, it has great insight into the everyday life of Britain. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for resources on Britain or for those who just want to kill some time surfing the net.

8. Write a brief narrative summary of the site.  What courses and kinds of research would this site be most useful for?
This is a great site for the same people that brought you Monty Python and Benny Hill comes a web site designed not only around entertainment but provides a look at British life and news, watch your time though you could spend hours here.
