Site: www.lib.byu.edu/~rdh/euro/europe.html

This site has links to many different areas concerning
European issues. This site’s links consist of newspapers, history, politics,
and law.
2.
Who are the sites authors? (person, institution)
The author of this site appears to be Richard Hacken, a
European Studies Bibliographer. The site offers nothing on Mr. Hacken’s title,
Although he is associated with BYU.
3.
What category does the site fit in (what type of information are you getting
from that site)?
I would classify this site as an archival document, and an Electronic
Periodical. The site provides links to newspapers as well as historical
documents, about many different areas of Europe.
4.
What is its focus: American, non-Western, etc., time-period or general
The focus of this site is Europe, past and present. They have
documents that range from newspapers to laws of European countries.
5.
Rate the information contained in the site:
They information on this site is present in a very accurate
and Historical manner. The information is broken down into sub-categories so
that you may find information on the subject that you are researching. Form the
best I could tell the information is accurate, with no dates provided it is hard
to tell. There are no criteria for the site listed, but one could assume that
the content would have to be about Europe. The site appears to be well
researched providing information on various different subjects. This is not the
greatest site I have come across by way of information but it could be a good
starting point.
6.
Rate the site:
Like I said before this site is a good place to start for
doing research on Europe, you may be able to find the information you are
looking for and if not you will be pointed in the right direction.
7.
How does this site relate to the course you are currently taking? How
helpful/not helpful is it? Would you recommend it to other students?
This site is relevant to anyone studying Europe, covering
almost every aspect of Europe past, present, and future.
8.
Write a brief narrative summary of the site. What courses and kinds of
research would this site be most useful for?
This site could be a good starting point for research on Europe although it is
very hard to navigate and is very basic in design; it contains some good
information.
