Request a librarian as a presence in your BlackBoard course page as your students prepare for a research assignment. The librarian can guide students to scholarly resources, assist with online library materials, identify the best keywords and search terms for a topic, help with references, and create a library resources guide to suggest appropriate research materials.

Instructors can reserve one of two rooms at Paul Meek Library. Both the Seminar Room (seats 60) and the Small Seminar Room (seats 25) are located in the Steven E. Rogers Media Center.

Place materials (books, articles, media, etc.) on reserve at the library or get help with creating electronic reserves.

Electronic Reserves

Articles, lecture notes, book chapter, and other materials can be scanned into the Reserves database where students can read, print, or download materials. The electronic course reserves are handled using Blackboard. Contact the ITC at 731-881-7900 if you need help setting it up in Blackboard. Education operates under the "fair use" section of copyright laws, so entire books and journal issues cannot be scanned--only individual chapters or articles.

If you need assistance in scanning articles, lecture notes, book chapter, and other materials for placement in BlackBoard, please contact Kent Page.

Instructor should send a student worker to the library with the material after submitting the form. There is also a PDF form available here that may be printed and included with the material in place of electronic submission.
