Meeting Your Mathematics Requirements

  • Degree requirements

All degrees at the University of Tennessee at Martin have a mathematics requirement.  The requirements vary from college to college depending on the relative importance of higher mathematics to the core of the discipline.  Within colleges the requirements vary with the particular area of concentration chosen.

Many degree programs require a single college-level mathematics course.  There are two courses offered at UTM that are designed to provide the student with a basic mathematics foundation, Mathematics 130 and Mathematics 140.  For a comparison in the content of these two courses see A Course Comparison.
