"Write Anyway"

Margrethe Ahlschwede is professor of English and Director of the West Tennessee Writing Project at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Dr. Ahlschwede has an interesting story, including her birth in Denmark and eight years service on the Lincoln ( Nebraska ) City Council. With a B.A. , M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska and an M.A. in Journalism from the University of North Carolina , Dr. Ahlschwede has published numerous poems, short stories, and essays on teaching. She has received numerous honors at UTM, including the Cunningham Teacher/Scholar award, the University of Tennessee National Alumni Outstanding Teaching Award , and selection as the Hardy M. Graham Distinguished Professor of English during 200-02. She will speak on Write Anyway on Monday, February 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Watkins Auditorium of the Boling University Center.
