Joe Johnson is the President Emeritus of the University of Tennessee . A familiar face on the campuses of the University of Tennessee system, and around the state in general, Dr. Johnson has dedicated almost half a century of service to the state, the university, and the people of Tennessee . After serving in many administrative positions with the university, Dr. Johnson capped his service as President of the University of Tennessee from 1990-99 and as Interim President during 2003-04. He will share his insights, speaking on The Future of Higher Education on Monday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Watkins Auditorium of the Boling University Center.
