David Loebel  is the Music Director and Conductor of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.  An internationally recognized musician, Mr. Loebel has served as guest conductor for numerous orchestras across the country, as well as in Japan and Australia.  Having announced that 2008-09 will be his final year leading the Memphis Symphony, the season is being dedicated to him as “The Perfect Ten: A Decade with David.  Mr. Loebel will speak on All About Mozart on Tuesday, February 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Harriett Fulton Theatre of the Fine Arts Building.  His talk will be followed at 7:30 by a performance of works by or inspired by Mozart by the Memphis Symphony Chamber Orchestra.  The appearanceby David Loebel and the Memphis Symphony Chamber Orchestra  is co-sponsored by Honors Programs and the Department of Music.
