Monday, September 8, 2008 - "Political Narratives in the 2008 Presidential Election"
Vaughn May is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at Belmont University in Nashville. A former member of the faculty at the University of Tennessee at Martin, Dr. May has received numerous awards and honors, including the University of Tennessee National Alumni Award for Outstanding Teaching and Belmont's Tower Award for Exceptional Contribution to Campus Life. A specialist in American and Southern Politics, as well as the politics of the Civil Rights movement, Dr. May is assisting in organizing the presidential debate scheduled for Belmont University in October. He will speak on Political Narratives in the 2008 Presidential Election on Monday, September 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Watkins Auditorium of the Boling University Center. Vaughn May's appearance is co-sponsored by Honors Programs and the Department of Management, Marketing, and Political Science.
