Bob Herbert is an Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times, writing twice weekly columns on American politics, urban affairs, and social trends. A long-time member of the New York press, Mr. Herbert has received numerous awards, including the American Society of Newspaper Editors Award for Distinguished Newspaper Writing. He will speak on Social Trends in Contemporary America on Tuesday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Watkins Auditorium of the Boling University Center. Bob Herbert's appearance is co-sponsored by Honors Programs, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Department of Communications.
