Monday, October 4, 2010 - "The Future of Higher Education in Tennessee"
Jan Simek is Interim President of the University of Tennessee. Dr. Simek is an Archaeologist who has served on the faculty of the University of Tennessee since 1984. An accomplished teacher and researcher, Dr. Simek holds rank as Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Before assuming the presidency of the UT system, Dr. Simek served in a variety of administrative positions on the Knoxville campus. He will speak on The Future of Higher Education in Tennessee on Monday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Watkins Auditorium of the Boling University Center.
