Senior of Military Science Instructor
Master Sergeant Billy G. Rogers is a native of Rockingham North Carolina. He enlisted in the Army as a 12B Combat Engineer from Portsmouth Virginia.
Master Sergeant Rogers’s military education includes Basic training and 12B Combat Engineer Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard wood MO, Air Assault School, Sapper Leader Course, French Demining, Strategic Deployment and Movement Planners course, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, Combat Life Saver, Route Reconnaissance Clearance Course (Sapper), and UPL. He is also a graduate of the Warrior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course and the Senior Leaders Course.
Master Sergeant Rogers previous duty assignments include 25th Infantry Division (L) Schofield Barracks Hawaii as a combat engineer through team leader; 1st Armored Division Baumholder GE as a team leader and squad leader, forward deployed to Albania and Kosovo; 101st Airborne Fort Campbell KY 1ST Brigade Combat Team as a squad leader, Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant in an Air Assault Engineer Company, forward deployed to support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan during OIF I, OIF III-IV, OIF VII and OEF XI.
Master Sergeant Rogers assumed duties as the Senior Military Instructor at the University of Tennessee at Martin Aug 2011.
