Staff Sergeant

 

Staff Sergeant (P) William Eugene Johnson Jr. was assigned as a Military Science Instructor at the University of Tennessee at Martin in March 2018. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, and grew up in Norfolk, Virginia. Staff Sergeant (P) Johnson joined the United States Army in February 2004 and completed Military Police One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in June 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Austin Peay State University.

 

Staff Sergeant (P) Johnson’s military schooling includes: the Senior Leader Course, the Advanced Leader Course, the Basic Leader Course, Domestic Violence Intervention Training, the Anti-Terrorism Officer Basic Course, the Unit Prevention Leader Course, the Master Driver Trainer, the Unit Armorer Course, Combatives Level One, the Air Assault Course, and the Combat Lifesaver Course.

His unit awards include the Meritorious Unit Citation. His badges include the Combat Action Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.

 

Staff Sergeant (P) Johnson is married to Shatica Johnson from Clarksville, Tennessee, and together they have three sons: William III, Dewayne, and Tristan.
