Staff Ms. Woody has served as the Director of Minority Affairs since 2005. Until 1998, she served as Library Associate in technical services at the UT Martin Paul Meek Library. Ms. Woody also completed a mental health internship at Pathways serving at the main office in Martin and the adolescent residential facility. Prior to the library position, Woody was summer youth employment monitor at the JTPA-Weakly County Service Center in Dresden, a substitute teacher employed by the Union City Board of Education, a job coach and academic tutor for the Tennessee Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in Union City and a volunteer GED tutor for the Obion County Board of Education. She was employed in the Office of International Programs while attending UT Martin. From 1988-95 she was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Woody earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in philosophy in 1997 and a Master's of Science degree in community counseling in 2005, both from UT Martin. She also attended Vanderbilt University.
She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at UT Martin.
