Young Scholars Academy - Admission Requirements SPECIFIC CRITERIA FOR APPLYING TO THE YOUNG SCHOLARS ACADEMY

Students must currently be in good academic standing in the tenth or eleventh grade.
(Exceptions may be approved for academically proficient yet mature ninth graders.) |

Students must be recommended by two of their teachers and one school administrator.
(Guidance counselor, dean or principal.) |
| 3. |
Students must be highly motivated, have demonstrated a high level of accomplishment in at least two areas of academic emphasis, and must be mature enough to participate effectively in a week-long residency program of intensive study. |
All students who submit a completed application package on or before the deadline date and who meet the three criteria listed above will have their application packets reviewed by the selection committee.
