Why Should You Attend?

As Americans we spend most of our adult lives making financial decisions, yet receive virtually no formal financial education from elementary school through college to prepare us for these challenges. Many people get an education to learn a career – and, in turn, to make money. This course will help you understand what to do with that money.

Bypass Roadblocks to Success.

Market downturns, taxes, inflation, lack of knowledge, inadequate planning, and failure to take action can hurt. Learn how to help identify and bypass them. Absorbing Sound Information Creates Confidence. Sound financial strategies can give you the background and perspective to make more informed decisions. You can become more confident and decisive about what you want and the options you have.

Set Your Goals; Then Go After Them.

This course is designed to help you understand the steps in the retirement planning process. You’ll learn how to formulate realistic goals based on your individual retirement needs, risk tolerance, and length of time to retirement.

Procrastination Can Be Deadly; Take Action.

Experience shows that procrastination is the single biggest reason people fall short of achieving retirement goals. After completing this course, you’ll be better prepared to start taking steps immediately to help improve your overall retirement picture.

This course could help if you…

  • Seek to fight the effects of inflation, taxes, and procrastination
  • Want to learn how to manage risk in volatile markets and a struggling economy

  • Want to learn how to avoid retirement plan distribution traps
  • Wish to protect yourself with long-term care

  • Want to learn more about lower estate taxes and probate using trust vehicles
  • Seek greater understanding of how property & casualty coverage may be your first-line of defense in protecting retirement assets

Educational Content

This informative course is designed for education purposes only. You’ll receive instruction about concepts and strategies, like identifying hidden risk, time horizon, and market volatility – not specific financial investments. Your instructor will use straight forward language and full-color graphics to illustrate important financial information you need to know.

Retirement Workbook

The comprehensive 135-page financial workbook is both your guide to the course and a valuable reference tool. Take-home exercises allow you to plug in your numbers and review options that could impact your retirement.

Optional Consultation

Many students come to the workshop hoping to get answers to their specific financial situations. Since the workshop is designed for general education, if you have such questions you may arrange to visit with your instructor after the course is complete. This consultation is complimentary for workshop participants but is not required.
