Tune Up Day

Drum Line Tune Up Day

The 13th Annual Drumline Tune Up Day

UTM Drumline Tune Up Day is a full day of immersion in the rudimental arts.

High School Marching percussion sections attend and receive feedback on their technique, arrangements for their upcoming season, and learn advanced musical concepts.

Individuals are also encouraged to come, bring a pad and sticks, and drum along throughout the day.

Drumlines receive a "tune up"€ while they are here as students from the UTM Drumline spend an hour with each group, repairing carriers and instruments and/or helping tune drums.

There is a demonstration/clinic by the UTM Skyhawk Marching Percussion section and our featured guest artist during the middle of the day.

Door prize tickets are sold at $1 each with no limit and we have some really awesome prizes each year!

We also give away some additional cool swag and educational tools!

Ensembles pay an entry fee of $150 each and individuals may attend for free.

The event runs from 8:30am -€“ 5:30pm and is open to the public and held in the UTM Band Room.
