If you live in a Residence Hall and need a routine repair, report the problem to the front desk of your residence hall from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A repair person should respond in 48 hours in most situations. Examples that are considered routine repairs are: room air conditioners that just went out that day if the occupant is not in a health crisis, a towel rack that is loose from the wall, etc. If a repair person does not show up within 48 hours or the repair person fails to resolve the problem, you should report to the front desk a second time and advise, "This is a repeat request." If the problem still does not get serviced within 48 hours, call the Housing Facilities Office at x7928. The 48-hour response time is due to the number of repairs being serviced. The maintenance staff makes every effort to respond to each repair as timely as possible.
If you live in a Residence Hall and need an emergency repair, report the problem to the front desk at any time, 24 hours a day. An example of an emergency would be a burst water pipe. A repair person will respond to the emergency as soon as possible.
