The UTM chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology, was founded in 1974. It holds regular business meetings and schedules speakers on careers, research, and graduate training. Membership requirements for Psi Chi include being a major or minor in psychology (or taking equivalent courses), having completed or being enrolled in one's twelfth hour of psychology, having a minimum of 3.0 GPA overall with a minimum of 3.2 in psychology courses.
