THREE KEYS TO BETTER READING...
In the Reading Center, students develop three skills which help them read better and remember more. The first key to better reading is FLUENCY, or the ability to read accurately and with speed. The second key is VOCABULARY; the larger a reader's vocabulary, the more efficient his reading process. The third key to better reading is COMPREHENSION. In the Reading Center classes, students gain strategies to help them understand and remember what they read. All of the keys to better reading are enhanced by WIDE READING. In Reading 100 students are encouraged to read, enjoy, and learn from many different types of texts. |
