| CLEP Testing Information |
Please call 211 Clement Hall, at 731.881.7727 to schedule a test. Fees are $80.00 (subject to change) per test; CLEP receives $60.00 per test, and UT Martin receives $20.00 per test.
As of July 1, the total Clep fee will increase to $85 - Clep will receive $65 per test and UT Martin will receive $20 per test.
You do not have to be a UT Martin student in order to take the CLEP tests. If you have not been admitted to UT Martin, CLEP credits will be held in a "CLEP credit bank" and will be included in your college transcript when admission requirements have been met. A University of Tennessee at Martin student will be allowed to take only 30 hours via CLEP examinations. Clep general exams must be taken within the first 30 hours at a university or college. CLEP subject exams must be taken prior to the last 30 hours at UT Martin.
In order to prepare for CLEP exams you may wish to purchase The College Board Guide to CLEP Examinations for $11.95, available at the UT Martin Bookstore. The guide has information that is helpful in preparing for the general and subject exams. Be sure to visit CLEP online for more information about scoring and credits.
