Title III at UT Martin

Vision : Develop and implement a comprehensive Student Success Center

Mission : Increase the retention rate and graduation rate of first-time full-time entering Freshmen and provide faculty with tools and skills related to teaching freshmen

Goals:

  1. To improve student services, increase student-retention success rate, and increase retention that leads to increased graduation rates through developing and implementing a comprehensive Student Success Center encompassing orientation, academic tracking, college adjustment and survival, and Supplemental Instruction for entry-level courses.
  2. To enhance and increase professional development opportunities for faculty to develop sensitivity toward rural, disadvantaged, and underrepresented populations of students to increase the success rate of these students.
  3. To enhance and increase professional development opportunities for faculty in sensitivity and mentoring skills training.
