All Aboard 'The Love Boat:' 16th Annual Working Women's Conference set for Feb. 14

MARTIN, Tenn. – “The Love Boat” is the theme of the 16th annual Working Women’s Conference, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Feb. 14, in the University of Tennessee at Martin’s Boling University Center. The conference is sponsored by the WestStar Leadership Program.

Speakers and topics include: Lisa Smartt, author, West Tennessee motivational speaker “We’re All in the Same Boat: So, Throw Out a Life Line,” 9:15-10 a.m.; Dave Bratcher, vice president, financial services, West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation (WestStar Cass of 2012), “This Ain’t the Titanic: Making Sure You Have Enough Life Boats,” 10-10:45 a.m.; Kimberly Olive-Milligan, coordinator, Campus Recreation, UT Martin, “Keep Your Boat Moving, Don’t Let it Sink,” 11-11:45 a.m.; Martin Jelinek, digital and social media manager, The Jackson Sun (WestStar Class of 2013), “Apps – SOS (Save Our Sanity)” 1-1:45 p.m.; Melina Hearn, executive director, Jackson Arts Council, “Creative Therapy: Time to Anchor Down,” 1:45-2:30 p.m.

Lunch, “Love Me Tender,” will be served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded during the conference.

The deadline to register is Feb. 7. You may register at Registration will be online only this year.

The fee is $40 per person and includes breakfast, lunch and lots of fun. Make checks payable to WestStar.
