MARTIN, Tenn. – From 2 – 9 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9, at the Student Recreation Center on the University of Tennessee at Martin main campus, students will be working to help children who are patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the Up ‘Til Dawn letter-writing event.
Up ‘Til Dawn is a collegiate student service organization currently in its second year at UT Martin. At the letter-writing event participants are encouraged to bring addresses to send requests for donations to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Door prizes and games will also be part of the event.
In 2011, more than 400 students participated in the letter-writing campaign, collectively mailed over 4,000 letters and raised $26,468 for St. Jude.
All UT Martin students are invited and encouraged to attend, and the event can be used for Greek points.
